Empowering entrepreneurs at Deakin University

The one thing I love about SPARK Deakin Ideation is that it actually teaches you how to start a business. I’ve taken a lot of courses which are great but miss the practical element. It’s also a great environment to meet like-minded people and mentors.

  • Develop entrepreneurial skills and mindset, and hear from industry guest speakers - past speakers have included Masterchef finalist, Google & Envato.

The SPARK Ideation Internship is an innovative and entrepreneurial Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program that will empower your entrepreneurial skill set and help transform your big idea to reality.

You’ll get to develop entrepreneurial skills and mindsets, trial your ideas, collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds, and advance the potential impact of your work.

You’ll participate in nine workshops at Deakin Downtown in the Melbourne CBD and have the opportunity to directly apply workshop skills and learnings to your projects. Each week you will be set a series of challenges that you are required to execute to validate your idea in the market and round off to a pitch day at the end of the program.

This program is available to current Deakin University students who are enrolling in a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) unit. Note: this program is not available via Cloud.
