If you are passionate about solving problems but aren’t sure where to start, SPARK Deakin’s Startup Hackathon is for you. We’ll help you find your feet in the world of entrepreneurship, equipping you with the skills for startup methodology to design thinking and pitching ideas.
If you don’t have an idea, don’t stress! Curiosity and an interest in problem solving means you’re well suited for the Hackathon.

What you need to know to get started
Who can apply?
Deakin students, staff and alumni are welcome to apply. You may be looking to start a new business, grow an existing one, or still be studying.
When and where is the event?
The Startup Weekend takes place at our Deakin University's Burwood Campus from Friday April 27th, to Sunday April 29th.
What is the cost?
The weekend costs $50 (Deakin staff'alumni) and $25 (Deakin students) + plus booking fee. If you are a member of the public, the weekend costs $300. Catering and beverages are provided however travel and accommodation are not included.
What is the application process?
A simple application process will determine who will be selected. You should be a pro-active, passionate and innovative change-maker who is willing to learn.
When are the application dates?
Applications open on February 28, 2018, and close on April 11, 2018
