An experienced startup entrepreneur all the way from Oxford University, London will show you what’s required to build a scaleable company that solves real-world problems. Spend a weekend brainstorming your ideas, learning new things, getting out of your comfort zone and understanding what to do next on your path to starting a new business or growing an existing one.

About the Presenter:
International entrepreneur and business expert Adam Davies will be facilitating the program. As the current Program Lead for the University of Oxford’s Entrepreneurship Program, he has an incredible amount of practical knowledge of the startup ecosystem to share. Adam has extensive experience in advising and mentoring entrepreneurs on their startup ideas having previously developed curriculum and delivered entrepreneurship programs at the London School of Business. He has been the Entrepreneur in Residence/Mentor at We Work, Techstars and Microsoft Ventures in London.
Who can apply?
Anyone is welcome to apply. You may be looking to start a new business, grow an existing one, or still be studying.
A simple application process will determine which applicants will be selected. We are looking for people who are passionate about solving real-world problems in their rural community. You should be pro-active, passionate, driven and an innovative change-maker who is willing to learn.
The registration fee is $50 full fee and $25 student/concession. Food costs are included, however, travel and accommodation are not covered.
What to Expect
14 & 15 October 2017 Workshop
Saturday 14th: 9.30am - 5.30pm
Sunday 15th: 9.30am - 3.30pm
The workshops are designed to teach you the fundamentals of entrepreneurial concepts that you can use to build your own business from scratch or use to grow your existing one. Gain the confidence to get started discussing your business ideas with others and learn what you need to do next. The program offers basic multi-disciplinary knowledge across various business concepts, and the key issues and challenges you are likely to face as you grow.
Participants can bring their own laptop for note taking if they prefer, otherwise bring a notepad and a pen.
Catering and beverages will be provided.
